Movie Review: August Rush

This is a story of a music prodigy. Lyla Novacek (Keri Russell) is a renowned and beautiful cellist and Louis Connelly (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is a bass player in club. Lyla and Louis falls in love once they meet each other following the music. Since they have different life, they have to separate without seeing each other once again. However, Lyla has had their baby-Evan Taylor -August Rush- (Freddie Highmore), a prodigy born to music. Lyla has an accident and bears the baby but Lyla's father gives the baby to an orphanage but does not tell her this in case of affecting her career. After that, both Louis and Lyla give up the music career. Eleven years later, the poor little Evan believes that their parents are waiting for him and goes to New York to find his parents. In New York, his music gift leads him to success but also gives him some trouble. As Evan is directing the orchestra to play his rhapsody, Lyla and Louis come to the concert following the music again. The family get together finally!

An incredible journey moving at the speed of sound.

It keeps you on the very tip of your toes, because as each minute of the movie goes by your wondering if Evan will reunite with his parents.

10/10

Movie Review: Role Models

The movie starts with Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (Sean William Scott) going to various high schools and colleges. Wheeler is dressed up in a minotaur suit and Danny tells all of the students to skip drugs, and instead have some of the energy drink Minotaur. Danny actually thinks Minotaur is made of acid, because it is the most disgusting thing he has ever tasted.

This movie was hilarious, but don't let your children watch this movie unless you let them curse like a sailor. Otherwise, amazing movie. It's a must see.

She Screams Remedy

She Screams Remedy is a Southern California band, deriving into the community's restless music scene. Kyrsten Gammon (Vocalist); Trevor Koch (Vocalist, Guitarist); Tim Berman (Guitarist); and Nadeem Haddad (Drummer) gives She Screams Remedy the becoming sound it possesses.

Even before they produced this superior sound, each of the members were involved in separate band projects. But, they brought there experience and made it one swell sound that is admired and heard by many. The predominance for their sharp sound reaches beyond musical inspirations alone.

Many local bands try to join this exclusive music scene, but some seem to fail at reaching their goal. However, She Screams Remedy, already has their first EP and has so much progress in their background. Also, they have a lot of high set goals set for the future, and will thrive to reach them at all cost; giving up for She Screams Remedy is not an option. It's a definite lift to come across bands such as She Screams Remedy; their not just noise, they have a sound, and they want to be heard.

Be on the look out for new upcoming shows, etc. Don't lose faith in this band, because they love their fans and will communicate with all you fans out there.

Movie Review: Eagle Eye

Jerry (Shia LeBeouf) and Rachel (Michelle Monagham) are strangers connected by a phone call from a women they never met.

This movie is thrilling and it's action packed, scene after scene. I enjoy any movie Shia LeBeouf stars in, but this movie in particular get's your brain working. In contrast to all the action it has some sentimental scenes as well. If you enjoy action, lust, and Shia LeBeouf, then you should defaintly see this movie.

10/10

Note: I don't want to give away too much of the movie to people that haven't seen it.

Movie Review: Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

The movie begins with the night of Nick (Michael Cera), Norah (Kat Dennings) and Manhattan. The night of stripping nuns, hotel ice rooms, Russian food, psychotic ex-boyfriends and lovingly trashy ex-girlfriends. It's the night of Julio and Salvatore. The night of holding hands and writing songs and singing in the rain. It's a night they'll never forget.

I enjoy the simplicity of this movie; the way almost each and every moment catches your eye. Mostly in a way where it's like "Oh! I didn't think that was going to happen", it keeps you guessing. Like, what's going to happen between Nick and Norah; it's a great film to just watch when your at home with nothing to do. This is my first Movie Review so cut me some slack, I'm trying to give a review without summing up the movie in one paragraph.

I'd give it a solid 9/10

Also, I could really relate to it, the whole music scene -going to shows, and staying out till 3am- I can defiantly relate. Overall, great movie.
